1 pkt King Island Gourmet Party King Island Beef Sausage Rolls
1/3 cup caramelised onion
3 sprigs of thyme
2 cups grated Swiss or tasty cheese
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Remove the rolls from pack and place on an oven tray. If frozen, heat for approximately 12 minutes. If thawed, heat for approximately 6 minutes. Allow to stand 2 minutes.
2. Top each of the hot rolls with a teaspoon of the caramelised onion, a few thyme leaves and a sprinkle of cheese, then cook under a hot grill for 3-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
Good quality caramelised onion is available in a jar in the supermarket. If you choose to make your own it makes sense to make a larger quantity. The remaining onion will freeze well for up to a month.
