1 pkt Gourmet Party King Island Beef Pies 
1 pkt Gourmet Party King Island Beef Sausage Rolls
1 tablespoon oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
3 short cut bacon rashers, finely chopped
1-2 teaspoons hot chilli paste (depending on how hot you like it)
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
2 cups good quality passata or tomato pasta sauce
¼ cup white wine
3 cloves garlic, crushed
2 teaspoons chopped oregano
1-2 tablespoons brown sugar
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

 

Products used in this recipe:

1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Remove the pies and rolls from packs and place on an oven tray. If frozen, heat for approximately 15 minutes for pies and 12 minutes for rolls. If thawed, heat for approximately 7-8 minutes for pies and 6 minutes for the rolls.
2. Heat the oil in a saucepan and sauté the onion and bacon for 3 -5 minutes or until onions are translucent. Add the chilli and paprika and cook a further minute. Stir in the passata, wine, garlic and oregano then simmer gently for 20 minutes. Add enough brown sugar to sweeten and round off the acidity of the tomato then season to taste. 
3. Cool the sauce slightly then spoon into a serving bowl. Serve immediately with the Gourmet Party Pies and Sausage Rolls.

Tip:

Serve on a tiered cake stand for easy entertaining
