Creamy Chicken & Leek Pie with

Citrus Broccolini with Almonds

1 pkt Herbert Adams Gourmet Creamy Chicken and Leek Pies
1 bunch broccolini, trimmed
20g butter
Finely grated rind and juice of ½ a lemon
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
¼ cup toasted flaked almonds

Products used in this recipe:

1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Remove the pies from pack and place on an oven tray. If frozen, heat for approximately 45 minutes. If thawed, heat for approximately 30 minutes.
2. Steam or microwave the broccolini until just tender. Add the butter, rind and juice and toss well to coat, season to taste. 
3. Spoon the broccolini onto dinner plates and sprinkle with the almonds. Serve immediately with Creamy Chicken and Leek Pies.

 

Tip:

If broccolini is unavailable substitute with broccoli or a mix of broccoli and cauliflower. To toast the almonds place on an oven tray in a single layer and bake for 4-5 minutes or until golden
